Sarah Raffel graduated in 2003 with honours in silversmithing and jewellery from the Glasgow School Art. After receiving the Deutsche bank pyramid award for design Sarah continued to pursue her ambition to establish Brazen Studios, a showcase boutique and creative incubator workshop in Glasgow’s Merchant City for the best of new jewellery design.  Raffel established Brazen Studios in April 2004 with further awards from Nesta’s Creative Pioneer Programme and The Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust. It opened to the public in December 2004 and has now represents over 35 of the most cutting edge jewellery designers from across the UK.   With the boutique going from strength to strength, Sarah now concentrates on designing and developing Brazen’s in-house collections, her most recent being Brazen’s Autumn/Winter "heraldry” range, which is due to be featured in Wallpaper’s* Global Shopping section.
