"After finishing my MA in Fashion Textiles at Central Saint Martins I feel that being part of the Glasgow Scotland with style Design Collective is the platform I need to move forward in my career. And I feel very proud to be doing this in association with Glasgow."
Launching this season for Autumn Winter 2007/08, Glasgow’s Jamie Bruski Tetsill is yet another exciting new name to the fashion world.
After leaving The Glasgow School of Art in 2005 with a first class BA Honours degree in Textiles, 25-year old Jamie then went on to graduate earlier this year with an MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins.
He showcased his graduate collection for AW07/08 at London Fashion Week in February of this year, which drew inspiration from strong independent women and showcased structured, tailored garments accentuating the hour glass shape.
The colour palette of turquoise and emerald green, mixed with softer tones of creams and charcoal greys has been taken from the work of illustrator Michael Roberts whose use of block colour and two tone designs have been translated beautifully through Tetsill’s stunning collection.
