Glasgow's spectacular Winterfest makes a welcome return in 2009 with an impressive programme, comprising many free treats for all the family to enjoy including the Big Stage programme. From 21st November right through until 3rd January there will be free programmed entertainment in George Square every night of the week - from festive films and family fun days to Jazz and battle of the bands, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The first free George Square event takes place on 15th November with the ever popular Christmas Lights switch on. Real Radio's Robin and Cat will host this special evening with exclusive performances from The Singing Kettle, Beauty and The Beast and The UK Theatre School choir. The night will be rounded off with famous, spectacular fireworks display lighting the skies above the City Chambers. Tickets will be released mid October, book early to avoid disappointment!
