Glasgow Mela

Getting to Glasgow’s biggest multi-cultural festival is simple and the information on this page should help in planning your journey to Kelvingrove Park. This year the event will take place in the parkland between Kelvin Way and Kelvingrove Street.

Mela by Underground: Kelvinhall, Hillhead and Kelvinbridge stations are all 5-10 minutes walk from the park.

Mela by Bus: several bus routes stop at or near Kelvingrove Park. For information on bus routes and timetables please visit www.travelinescotland.com or telephone 0871 200 22 33 (calls cost 10p per minute from BT Landlines, charges from other providers or mobiles may vary).

Mela by Train: the nearest railway stations are Charing Cross and Exhibition Centre (SECC). For information on train timetables please visit www.travelinescotland.com or telephone 0871 200 22 33 (calls cost 10p per minute from BT Landlines, charges from other providers or mobiles may vary).

Mela by Car: visitors to the event are strongly encouraged to take public transport as there is no official event parking. Blue Badge holders can park in Kelvin Way with limited spaces available in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum car park.

With so much going on and FREE admission for all, there is no reason not to be part of the 02 Glasgow Mela celebrations on 20th June
