ROAD TO THE WORLDS MANCHESTER – July 23rd
Commuters at Manchester Piccadilly Station were stopped in their tracks by the Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service Pipe Band as the tour rolled into Manchester this week. Rick Brown, the youngest pipe major I have encountered yet at 24, led the band marching down the station platforms toward the Virgin train to Glasgow to highlight the best way for supporters to follow them to the Worlds next month. Rick also braved his band’s teasing to do an interview with Manchester TV station Channel M about the importance of the Worlds to bands around the globe.
A big thanks to Keith Lumley from Network rail for arranging all of the access for us and for looking after us at the station!
