World pipeband Championship 2009

9th July 2009 - Toronto

Last weekend the tour travelled further than ever before as it stopped off at the Kincardine Festival in Ontario, Canada.  Unfortunately I didn’t get to go this one but the 78th Fraser Highlanders did a fantastic job promoting the Worlds to the festival goers by wearing the Road To The Worlds T-Shirts and handing out our flyers.  The band will continue to promote the event at festivals throughout Toronto before they head to the Championships to compete for the world title in August.

A big thanks to the lovely Karen Stewart who is providing us with photographs throughout the band’s Road To The World (and who also managed to get thousands of flyers and T-Shirts printed with one day’s notice!)

Next stop…T in the Park this weekend with the Clydebank Pipe Band….
