The Simon Fraser University Pipe Band from Vancouver, Canada have been crowned World Pipe Band Champions at Glasgow Green this afternoon in front of an audience of more than 40,000 pipe fans.

Another Fantastic Year for The Worlds!

The biggest and best event in piping is over for another year! Thank you to

everyone who joined us on Glasgow Green for the pinnacle in piping - the

World Pipe Band Championships 2009! The initial downpour certainly didn’t
dampen the high spirits of the crowd or the bands in what turned out to be a
fantastic day.
